- 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
- 1 (1 lb. 2 oz.) can whole tomatoes, diced
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
- 2 envelopes spaghetti sauce mix
- 2 cans (12 oz. each) V-8 juice
- 1 (1 lb.) pkg. lasagna noodles
- 1 (12 oz.) carton cottage cheese
- 1 pkg. Mozzarella cheese
Method
- Heat oil in large skillet.
- Add meat and brown.
- Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce mix and V-8 juice.
- Bring to boil; lower heat and simmer 10 minutes.
- Cover bottom oiled 13 x 9 x 2-inch (3-quart) casserole dish with thin layer meat sauce.
- Then add layer each uncooked noodles, cottage cheese and Mozzarella.
- Repeat layers, ending with meat sauce.
- Cover tightly with aluminum foil. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
