Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 (1 lb. 2 oz.) can whole tomatoes, diced
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 2 envelopes spaghetti sauce mix
  • 2 cans (12 oz. each) V-8 juice
  • 1 (1 lb.) pkg. lasagna noodles
  • 1 (12 oz.) carton cottage cheese
  • 1 pkg. Mozzarella cheese

Method

  • Heat oil in large skillet.
  • Add meat and brown.
  • Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce mix and V-8 juice.
  • Bring to boil; lower heat and simmer 10 minutes.
  • Cover bottom oiled 13 x 9 x 2-inch (3-quart) casserole dish with thin layer meat sauce.
  • Then add layer each uncooked noodles, cottage cheese and Mozzarella.
  • Repeat layers, ending with meat sauce.
  • Cover tightly with aluminum foil. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
