Ingredients
- 2 1/2 lb. lean ground meat
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 medium-sized carrots, grated
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 (15 or 16 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. Idahoan instant potatoes
Method
- In a large pan, cook the meat, onions and carrots slowly until meat is done and onions are transparent (do not brown).
- Drain. Add salt and pepper to taste, Worcestershire sauce and tomato sauce.
- Pour mixture into 3-quart casserole dish.
- Top with the mashed potatoes which have been prepared according to package directions.
- (You may use real mashed potatoes, if you want.) Bake, uncovered, about 35 minutes in a 350° oven.
