Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lb. lean ground meat
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 medium-sized carrots, grated
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 (15 or 16 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. Idahoan instant potatoes

Method

  • In a large pan, cook the meat, onions and carrots slowly until meat is done and onions are transparent (do not brown).
  • Drain. Add salt and pepper to taste, Worcestershire sauce and tomato sauce.
  • Pour mixture into 3-quart casserole dish.
  • Top with the mashed potatoes which have been prepared according to package directions.
  • (You may use real mashed potatoes, if you want.) Bake, uncovered, about 35 minutes in a 350° oven.
