Ingredients

  • 1 bag caramels
  • 1 (5 oz.) can evaporated milk
  • 1 German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 1 bag walnuts
  • 1 bag chocolate chips

Method

  • Combine cake mix, butter and half the milk.
  • Press half of the mixture into a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  • Bake at 350° for 8 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, in a double boiler, melt the caramels, adding the rest of the milk.
  • Pour half of the caramel syrup, half the nuts and half of the chips over the half baked chocolate cake. Form the rest of the chocolate dough into egg sized ball and place on top.
  • Now, pour on the rest of the caramel, nuts and chocolate chips.
  • Bake for 18 minutes.
  • Enjoy warm.
