- 12 oz. tenderloin chuck
- 2 c. flour
- 1 c. oil
- 6 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1/2 tsp. shallots
- 1/4 tsp. garlic
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 1/4 c. scallions
- 1 tsp. brown sugar
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- 3/4 c. beef broth
- 4 oz. sherry
- 2 tsp. sesame seed
Method
- Toss meat in flour and shake off excess.
- Brown beef on all sides in oil, 3 to 4 minutes; drain oil.
- Lower heat; add butter, garlic, shallots and ginger.
- Stir 1 minute.
- Add sherry, soy sauce, brown sugar and beef broth.
- Bring to a boil for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Add scallions and sesame seed.
- Serve over rice or fettucini noodles.
