Ingredients
- 4 1/2 c. flour (1 Kings 4:22)
- 2 c. sugar (Jeremiah 6:20)
- 2 c. figs (Nahum 3:12)
- 6 eggs (Jeremiah 17:11)
- 2 tsp. baking powder (Amos 4:5)
- 6 tsp. honey (1 Samuel 14:25)
- 1 c. butter (Judges 5:25b)
- 2 c. raisins (1 Samuel 30:12)
- 2 c. almonds (Numbers 17:8)
- 1 c. milk (Judges 4:19b)
- 1/4 tsp. salt (Leviticus 2:13)
- season to taste with spice (2 Chronicles 9:9)
Method
- Cream together the butter and sugar.
- Dredge raisins with small amount of flour.
- Sift together the dry ingredients. Alternate by adding flour and milk.
- Add honey and figs.
- Fold in raisins and almonds.
- Pour into Bundt or tube pan (well-greased). Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
- Makes a nice holiday cake.
