Ingredients
- 2 c. self-rising flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 c. Wesson oil
- 1 c. water
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped pecans
Method
- Mix
- together in a big bowl flour, sugar, cocoa, cinnamon
- and salt.
- Melt
- in
- saucepan 1 stick butter, oil and water; bring
- to a boil.
- Add dry with liquid ingredients and mix well. Add beaten eggs, soda and buttermilk.
- Add vanilla. Stir
- all together and pour into a greased, floured pan.
- Cook at
- 350°
- for 30
- to
- 40 minutes.
- While cake is hot from the oven, pour frosting on it.
