Ingredients
- 2 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 egg
- 5/6 c. buttermilk
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Method
- Sift dry ingredients.
- Cut in 1/2 stick of butter.
- Beat egg and add buttermilk while stirring.
- Add egg mixture into your mixed dry ingredients.
- Roll out dough 1/2 inch thick.
- Cut circles for scones out of dough.
- Bake approximately 7 minutes at 400°.
