Ingredients
- juice of 4 lemons (2/3 c.)
- 4 oz. butter (1 stick)
- 1 lb. sugar (2 large c.)
- 4 large eggs
Method
- Melt together first 3 ingredients.
- Remove from heat and add beaten eggs.
- Cook slowly, but do not boil, until it coats the wooden spoon.
- (Froth from eggs will disappear as it thickens.)
