Ingredients
- 8 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
Method
- In a greased 2-quart baking dish, layer a third of potatoes. Combine flour, salt and pepper.
- Sprinkle a third over potatoes. Top with third of onion.
- Combine soup and milk.
- Pour a third over onions.
- Repeat layers twice.
- Combine bread crumbs and butter. Sprinkle over top.
- Cover and bake at 350° for 1 hour.
- Uncover and bake 30 minutes more.
- Makes about 8 servings.
