Ingredients
- 2 lb. hamburger
- 1 large bell pepper
- 4 large white potatoes
- 2 large onions
- 2 cans mushroom soup
- salt
- pepper
- grated Cheddar cheese
Method
- In a skillet, brown hamburger and bell pepper.
- Drain and set aside.
- Peel and slice potatoes lengthwise.
- Slice onions into rings.
- In a large, deep baking dish, alternate thin layers of potatoes, onions, hamburger, mushroom soup and salt and pepper (about 3 layers of each).
- Top with a thin layer of potatoes, sprinkled with Cheddar cheese.
- Bake, covered, in a 350° oven for 40 to 45 minutes or until potatoes are soft.
