Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. flank steak
- 1/3 c. soy sauce
- white wine
- 2 Tbsp. salad oil
- watercress sprigs
- 1/4 c. sliced radishes
- party red bread
Method
- Trim fat from steak; cut to 5 inches wide.
- Mix soy sauce and some white wine.
- Marinate meat for 24 hours; turn occasionally. Oil steaks on both sides.
- Place in broiler pan without rack. Broil meat 6 inches from heat for 1 minute on each side.
- Turn steak; broil 5 minutes longer.
- Turn and broil 5 more minutes, or until medium rare.
- Let cool.
- Brush meat with pan juices.
- Chill, lightly covered, until serving time.
- To serve, slice thin. Arrange on platter with watercress and radishes with bread nearby. Use prime or choice grade of beef.
