Ingredients

  • 1 lb. bulk sausage
  • 6 slices white bread, crusts removed
  • softened margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 2 c. half and half
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Method

  • Cook sausage; stir to crumble and drain.
  • Spread bread with margarine and cut in cubes.
  • Place bread in buttered 13 x 9 x 2-inch dish.
  • Sprinkle sausage on cubes of bread and top with cheese.
  • Combine remaining ingredients and pour on top.
  • Chill at least eight hours before baking.
  • Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.
