  • -7 tbsp. of butter

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Make a blonde caramel with the sugar and the butter by melting the sugar on medium heat until it's mostly dissolved and liquidy, a brown-ish caramel color. This usually takes about 5-8 minutes. Add the butter and stir around, severing it with a wooden spoon until melted. The caramel mixture should be lightly bubbling.
  • Add the pine nuts and the raisins. Stir mixture.
  • Let this cook for 30 seconds while you get out the cream. Pour it into the mixture and stir until ingredients are evenly distributed, another 30 seconds.
  • Next, pour the mixture into the pre-prepared pie crust. Cook in oven for 24-30 minutes, or until pie is slightly browned.
