Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. uncooked rice
- 1 lb. sausage
- 1 c. diced onion
- 1 c. diced celery
- 14 oz. jar spaghetti sauce
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 c. sliced green peppers
- 1 c. sliced mushrooms
Method
- Prepare rice according to directions.
- Brown sausage and drain all excess fat.
- In a skillet, combine sausage, onion, celery, spaghetti sauce and water.
- Simmer until celery and onions are tender.
- Add green peppers and mushrooms and simmer until peppers are tender and sauce is thickened.
- Serve sausage and vegetables over rice.
- Makes 4 servings.
