Ingredients

  • 1 lb. pork sausage
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 (4 oz.) can undrained tomatoes
  • 1 (4 oz.) can green chiles (undrained)
  • 1 c. frozen whole kernel corn
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 c. yellow corn meal
  • 2/3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2/3 c. milk
  • 1/4 c. vegetable oil

Method

  • Cook sausage,
  • onion
  • and
  • garlic
  • until meat is brown. Stir in crumbled meat that has been drained and add tomatoes, chiles, corn
  • and chili powder.
  • Simmer for 20 minutes.
  • Spoon mixture into a greased baking dish and set aside.
