Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 to 3 eggs
- 1 c. flour
- 1/3 tsp. nutmeg
- 3 or 4 c. flour
- 1 c. milk
- 3 Tbsp. melted butter or oleo
- 3 heaping tsp. baking powder
- dash of cinnamon
Method
- Beat eggs and sugar together.
- Add butter or oleo to milk. Put 1 cup flour, the baking powder, nutmeg and cinnamon together and mix into milk mixture.
- Add enough flour so batter can be rolled out on a board.
- Cut into donut shape.
- Fry in hot Crisco (about 2 pounds).
- Fry to a golden brown on both sides.
- Drain on paper.
- (I always put a piece of raw potato in the Crisco.)
