Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 c. chopped onion
  • 1/4 c. crackers
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. horseradish
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 jar beef gravy
  • 1 c. sliced mushrooms (optional)
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper

Method

  • In a bowl, combine beef, egg, onion, cracker crumbs, milk, horseradish, salt and pepper; shape into patties.
  • Fry in skillet over medium heat for 10 to 12 minutes, or until cooked through, turning once.
  • Remove patties and keep warm.
  • Add gravy, mushrooms and water to skillet; heat 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Serve over mashed potatoes, noodles or rice.
