Ingredients
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. heavy cream
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
- 2 tsp. Drambuie
- 2 tsp. Scotch
- 1 tsp. cold unsalted butter
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Method
- Heat sugar
- and
- teaspoons
- cold water over moderate heat; stir
- until dissolved, then swirl pan until golden brown caramel. Set
- pan
- in sink and stir in cream slowly.
- Caramel will seize. Boil over moderate heat until thick.
- Remove from heat and
- pour in
- vanilla,
- Drambuie
- and
- Scotch.
- Stir
- in butter; let cool 5 minutes.
- Stir in chopped nuts.
- Serve over your favorite ice cream.
