Ingredients
- 1 c. honey
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 4 eggs, separated
- 3 c. sifted flour
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. thick sour cream
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
Method
- Bring honey to a boil and then cool it.
- Cream butter with sugar.
- Add egg yolks, one at a time.
- Beat until light and fluffy.
- Beat in honey.
- Sift flour with dry ingredients twice; add alternately with sour cream.
- Stir in nuts.
- Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into batter.
- Spoon into buttered tube pan. Bake at 325° for 50 to 55 minutes or until done.
