Ingredients

  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. (1 c.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/3 c. rum
  • 3 Tbsp. white corn syrup
  • 2 c. crushed vanilla wafers (44 wafers)
  • 1 c. ground walnuts
  • sugar

Method

  • In saucepan, melt chocolate pieces over low heat.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Stir in 1/2 cup sugar, rum and corn syrup.
  • Fold in vanilla wafers.
  • Shape mixture into 1-inch balls, using 2 teaspoons of mixture for each.
  • Roll in additional sugar.
  • Store in airtight container for several days.
  • Makes 4 dozen.
