Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 c. warm water
  • 2 c. cottage cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 c. oil
  • 2 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 tsp. crushed rosemary
  • 3/4 c. hot water
  • 7 c. bread flour (may be less or more)

Method

  • Mix cottage cheese, eggs, sugar, soda, oil, salt, rosemary and hot water.
  • Add yeast mixture.
  • Add in flour.
  • Dough should not be too dry or too sticky.
  • Place in well-greased bowl and place in warm, draft-free place.
  • Let rise 40 minutes.
  • Punch down dough and let rest 15 minutes.
  • On floured surface, shape into several long loaves or braids or dinner rolls.
  • Let rise again in warm place for 1 hour.
  • Bake at 350° for 15 minutes until golden.
