Ingredients

  • 1 (12 ounce) bag broccoli florets
  • 1/2 red onion, sliced
  • 8 fresh sage leaves
  • 2 Tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt (or garlic powder, but use less)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Method

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  • Spread broccoli in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle onion and sage leaves over broccoli. Drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle with salt, garlic and pepper. Toss to coat.
  • Roast in the oven until broccoli is browned and crisp. 20 to 30 minutes
