Ingredients
- 1/2 stick margarine, melted
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 (8 oz.) can mushrooms
- 2 c. rice
- 6 c. water
- 3 small cubes chicken bouillon
- salt to taste
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Method
- Melt butter; saute onions for 2 minutes.
- Drain mushrooms.
- Add to onion.
- Also add 2 cups of rice.
- Brown for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Add water, bouillon and pepper; bring to a boil, then reduce to simmer with lid on until it absorbs liquid (20 minutes).
- Add salt, if needed.
