Ingredients
- 3 c. boiling water
- 1 1/2 c. white rice (basmati)
- 1/4 cube butter
- 1/2 c. slivered almonds
- 3/4 c. cut dates
- dash of salt
Method
- Put the water on to boil; dash of salt in water.
- Put the rice in boiling water; cover and turn fire low and cook 20 minutes or until the rice is done.
- Simmer the cut dates in butter a few minutes.
- Saute almonds in another pan in butter until they are a little brown.
- Add the almonds and dates to the rice and serve.
