Ingredients
- 2 c. rice, cook until it begins to soften
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 large can evaporated milk
- 1 qt. milk
- raisins
- cinnamon
- nutmeg
Method
- Mix and cook together the rice, sugar, vanilla, evaporated milk and milk.
- Add raisins and cinnamon.
- Sprinkle nutmeg on top.
- Put all together in a 2 quart baking dish.
- Stir often so it does not scum on the top.
- Cook about 1 hour or until brown on the top.
- Or serve with nutmeg on top with milk.
