Ingredients

  • 4 c. rhubarb, cut in 1-inch pieces (I cut them finer)
  • 1 regular size (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry jello (dry)
  • 1 c. sugar (may use a little less)
  • 2 c. yellow or white cake mix (dry)
  • 1 c. cold water
  • 1/4 c. margarine, melted

Method

  • Grease a 9 x 9-inch pan.
  • Place ingredients in pan in layers as listed.
  • Pour cold water slowly.
  • Melt the margarine and dribble over all.
  • Bake for 1 hour at 350°.
  • Cake is good warm or cold.
  • May serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
