Ingredients
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 c. finely cut rhubarb
- 1/2 c. shortening
- brown sugar
- 1/2 c. white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
Method
- Mix sugar and rhubarb and set aside.
- In large bowl, cream shortening, brown sugar and white sugar.
- Add eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, cinnamon, salt and baking soda. Add to first mixture and mix well.
- Bake in 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
