Ingredients
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. water
- 3 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate (1 sq. chocolate equals 3 1/2 Tbsp. cocoa and 1/2 Tbsp. butter)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. evaporated milk
Method
- Combine corn syrup, sugar and water.
- Cook to soft ball stage (236°). Remove from heat and add chocolate. Stir until chocolate melts.
- Add vanilla. Slowly add evaporated milk and mix thoroughly. Cool. Makes 2 1/2 cups.
