Ingredients
- 1 c. milk
- 1 pkg. granulated yeast
- 1/4 to 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. water (lukewarm)
- 1 egg
- 7 c. sifted flour
- 3 Tbsp. melted butter
- 1 tsp. salt
Method
- Scald milk over hot water in top of double boiler or over very low heat.
- Cool to lukewarm.
- Add yeast, sugar, water and egg; beat until blended.
- Add half of the flour, butter and salt; stir until blended.
- Add remaining flour, stirring until blended.
