Ingredients

  • 1 c. Crisco (not oil)
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. warm water (from faucet)
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 6 c. plain flour

Method

  • Mix Crisco, sugar, salt and boiling water well to dissolve grease.
  • Add warm water and yeast.
  • Then add the eggs.
  • Put in plain flour one cup at a time.
  • Mix well.
  • Leave in same bowl. Put some oil on top of dough.
  • Put Saran Wrap over bowl.
  • Put in refrigerator overnight.
  • Make out amount you need.
  • Dot with butter.
  • Let rise in warmest place you have for 2 or 3 hours or until they rise.
  • Bake at 400° until done.
  • Will keep in refrigerator for 2 weeks or longer.
  • Makes 45 rolls.
