Ingredients
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. hot water
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/3 c. margarine, melted
- 3 1/2 c. plain flour
Method
- Stir together the sugar, yeast and salt in a large mixing bowl.
- Add hot water; mix and let stand 5 minutes.
- Beat in egg and margarine.
- Dump all of flour; mix well.
- Use electric mixer, if available; do not knead.
- Pour into a greased bowl.
- Cover tightly; refrigerate overnight.
- When ready to use, allow about 2 hours to rise.
