Ingredients
- 1 gal. cucumbers, peeled, sliced and centers removed (large cucumbers)
- 1 c. lime
- 4 1/2 qt. water
- 1 c. vinegar
- 1 1/2 tsp. powdered alum
- 2 c. vinegar
- 2 c. water
- 7 c. sugar
- 1 c. red hots
- 4 sticks cinnamon
- red cake coloring
Method
- Heat until red hots are melted.
- Pour over sliced cucumbers and let stand overnight.
- Next morning, heat to boil.
- Put in jars and seal.
