Ingredients
- 1 ham steak (1 lb.; 1-inch thick)
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp. ground cloves
- 2 Tbsp. instant coffee or 1 c. boiled coffee
Method
- Cook steak tender in 2 tablespoons drippings.
- Mix the ingredients and rub on each side of the uncooked steak.
- Add ham to skillet with 2 tablespoons of drippings; cook until brown, about 2 minutes each side.
- Transfer to platter and keep warm. Add you 1 cup coffee to skillet and cook until syrupy, about 5 minutes.
- Makes 2 servings.
