Ingredients
- 1 1/2 gal. cucumbers, peeled and sliced (round or long slices, different shapes)
- 2 c. lime
- 2 gal. water
- 1 c. vinegar
- 1 bottle red food coloring (1 1/2 oz.)
- 1 tsp. alum
- 4 1/2 c. vinegar
- 4 1/2 c. water
- 12 c. sugar
- 30 oz. pkg. cinnamon red hots
Method
- Heat until red hots are melted.
- (Takes quite a while.) Stir occasionally.
- Add pickles and bring to a boil.
- Put into jars and seal.
- Happy canning!
