Ingredients
- 1 head red cabbage
- 2 tart red apples
- 2 Tbsp. salt (optional)
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 c. cider vinegar
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 c. water
Method
- Remove outer leaves.
- Quarter cabbage and shred.
- Core apples and slice thin. Combine cabbage, apples, salt, butter, vinegar and 1/2 cup water in large skillet.
- Cover.
- Cook over medium heat for 25 to 30 minutes.
- Stir occasionally.
- Yields 6 servings.
