Ingredients
- 1 c. seedless raisins
- 1 c. water
- 4 cloves
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 2 tsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar or lemon juice
Method
- Wash raisins; drain and place in saucepan.
- Add water and cloves; simmer for 10 minutes.
- Mix together sugar, cornstarch, salt and pepper.
- Stir into raisin mixture.
- Simmer and stir about 3 minutes or until sauce is thick.
- Add the butter and vinegar. Simmer about 1 or 2 minutes.
