Ingredients
- 4 c. self-rising flour
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 2 c. warm water
- 1 egg
Method
- Dissolve yeast in warm water.
- Stir in sugar and let set for a minute, then beat in remaining ingredients.
- Grease muffin pan. Fill half full with batter.
- Bake for 10 minutes at 400°.
- Makes 24.
- Batter will keep in refrigerator.
