Ingredients
- 1 to 1 1/2 c. butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. self-rising flour
- 1 1/4 c. milk
Method
- Cream the butter until smooth.
- Add sugar, again creaming until smooth.
- Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each egg.
- Add vanilla.
- Add flour, one cup at a time.
- Add 1/2 milk after adding 1 cup flour, mixing well after each addition.
- Add last 1/2 cup milk after adding second cup of flour.
- Add third cup of flour and mix well.
- Pour into a 9 x 13-inch greased and floured pan.
- This will also make three 9-inch layers.
- I use Baker's Joy spray to grease pans.
