Ingredients
- 1 c. warm water
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. liquid shortening
- 3 1/2 c. self-rising flour
Method
- Melt yeast in water.
- Mix all ingredients and make a workable dough.
- Knead slightly and roll over to 1/2-inches thick on floured board.
- Cut in desired shapes.
- Brush with melted butter. Cook at 325° for about 20 minutes.
- Refrigerate unused dough until ready to cook.
