Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • powdered sugar topping

Method

  • Mix cake mix according to instructions on the box.
  • Pour 1/2 the batter into 9 x 13-inch pan that is greased and floured. Sprinkle 1/2 the sugar-butter-spice-nut-flour mixture over the batter.
  • Pour the balance of cake batter over the top, with balance of sugar mix sprinkled over all.
  • Bake according to cake instructions on box.
  • Cool slightly, then remove from pan. Sprinkle powdered sugar over warm cake.
