Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp. flaked coconut
  • 1/4 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
  • 1 c. undiluted evaporated milk
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Method

  • Place 1 tablespoon coconut in each of four 6 ounce custard cups.
  • Combine chocolate pieces, evaporated milk and water in saucepan.
  • Stir over low heat until well blended.
  • Slowly stir in chocolate mixtures, blending well.
  • Pour into custard cups.
  • Place custard cups in 10-inch skillet and pour boiling water around cups to custard level.
  • Bring water to full rolling boil.
  • Cover skillet and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Let custard set about 15 minutes.
