Ingredients
- 3 c. warm water
- 3 Tbsp. yeast
- 1/4 c. honey
- 9 to 10 c. flour
- 5 tsp. salt (yes, 5)
- 5 Tbsp. oil
Method
- Combine
- water,
- yeast
- and
- honey.
- Stir
- until
- yeast dissolves.
- Add
- cups flour and salt.
- Beat hard with a big spoon until
- batter
- is smooth.
- Add remaining flour and blend well.
- Pour oil
- over dough while in the bowl and knead just 2 or 3
- minutes.
- The
- oil will be absorbed by the dough.
- Cover and let
- rise until doubled.
- Punch down and turn onto lightly floured board and knead slightly.
- Shape into 2 loaves and put into greased
- bread
- pans.
- Cover
- and let rise until doubled. Bake at 400° for 30 minutes or until done.
