Ingredients
- 1 lb. round steak
- 1/2 c. butter
- 6 oz. mushrooms, sliced
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 can beef broth
- 1 c. sour cream
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. flour
Method
- Trim fat from meat.
- Cut meat diagonally across grain in strips 1/4-inch wide.
- Brown quickly in butter.
- Push meat to one side. Add mushrooms and onion.
- Cook just until tender.
- Add broth.
- Heat to boiling.
- Blend sour cream and flour.
- Stir into broth.
- Cook and stir until mixture thickens.
- Season to taste.
- Serve over hot buttered noodles.
- Serves 4 or 5.
