Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c. whipping cream
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 (9-inch) deep dish unbaked pie shell
  • 4 to 6 oz. Swiss cheese, grated
  • 8 oz. bacon, cooked and crumbled

Method

  • Cook and crumble bacon.
  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • In medium sized bowl, beat eggs, cream, salt, pepper and nutmeg.
  • Layer crumbled bacon and cheese in pie shell.
  • Pour egg and cream mixture over it.
  • Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until quiche is golden brown or puffy.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Refrigerate leftovers and heat or eat cold the next day.
