Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. whipping cream
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 (9-inch) deep dish unbaked pie shell
- 4 to 6 oz. Swiss cheese, grated
- 8 oz. bacon, cooked and crumbled
Method
- Cook and crumble bacon.
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- In medium sized bowl, beat eggs, cream, salt, pepper and nutmeg.
- Layer crumbled bacon and cheese in pie shell.
- Pour egg and cream mixture over it.
- Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until quiche is golden brown or puffy.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Refrigerate leftovers and heat or eat cold the next day.
