Ingredients

  • 1 large can pumpkin
  • ingredients according to recipe on pumpkin can, except use only 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 1/2 sticks real butter
  • 1 or 2 pkg. pecan pieces
  • 1 box yellow cake mix (or may use spice cake mix if you like it spicy)

Method

  • Prepare pumpkin by following the directions on the can. Pour mixture into a lightly greased 9 x 13 pan. Sprinkle 3/4 of the dry cake mix over pumpkin mixture. Slice butter over top of cake mix and sprinkle with nuts. Bake at 425° for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350° and bake for an additional 30 minutes.
