Ingredients
- 1 c. shortening or butter
- 1/2 c. light brown sugar
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1 c. canned pumpkin
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Cream butter or shortening and sugar together.
- Add pumpkin, egg and vanilla; mix well.
- Add sifted dry ingredients; blend well.
- Add nuts.
- Drop from teaspoon onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
- Cool and frost.
- Makes 6 1/2 dozen.
