Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. flour
  • 1 c. whole wheat flour
  • 1 t. baking soda
  • 1/4 t. baking powder
  • 3/4 t. salt
  • 1/2 t. cloves
  • 1/2 t. nutmeg
  • 1/2 t. cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. canola oil
  • 1 c. canned pumpkin
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 1/2 c. chopped dates

Method

  • Blend all but dry ingredients. Add remaining dry ingredients, except nuts and dates and then stir in after blending dry.
  • Oil and flour pans. Bake in slow 325 degree oven until top springs back when lightly pressed with fingertip or toothpick comes out clean.
