Ingredients
- 4 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 3 c. pumpkin (29 oz. can)
- 3 tsp. baking soda
- 3/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. vegetable oil
- 1 c. water
- 3 1/2 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 1/4 tsp. salt
Method
- Beat eggs; add oil, water and pumpkin.
- Sift dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture.
- One cup raisins, currants or nuts may be added here.
- Fill greased baking pans 3/4 full.
- Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until tester comes out clean.
- Time depends on size of baking pan used.
