Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter or margarine
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 c. coarsely crushed pretzels
  • 1 large can cherry pie filling
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 2 (2 oz.) envelopes Dream Whip
  • 1/2 c. powdered sugar

Method

  • Melt butter in saucepan.
  • Add sugar and pretzels; blend lightly.
  • Reserve 1 cup for top.
  • Press remaining mixture in baking dish.
  • Fold whipped topping into blended cream cheese and powdered sugar.
  • Spread 1/2 the cream cheese mixture on crust, then cherry pie filling, then remaining cream cheese.
  • Sprinkle remaining pretzels on top.
  • Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours before serving.
