Ingredients

  • 250 g shrimp, back sliced open
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp fish sauce
  • 1 bunch cassava leaves, boiled and sliced
  • 13 pcs cayenne peppers
  • 6 pcs red chilis, cut into rough pieces
  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 bananas (young), peeled and grilled briefly
  • 4 onions
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp shrimp paste (if desired)
  • to taste Salt and sugar

Method

  • Soak the shrimp in lemon juice and soy sauce for 1 hour.
  • Fry shrimp until it changes color.
  • Remove and set aside.
  • Boil and slice the cassava leaves.
  • Banana Sambal: mix chopped tomatoes, cayenne pepper, chilis, garlic and shrimp paste.
  • Stir-fry briefly, then add the sugar and salt.
  • Take the roasted banana and press a bit with the sauce.
  • Serve with fried shrimp.
